happy birthday owen + handlettering day 2

Happy birthday little man! As I write this, you are currently sprawled out in my bed like a starfish snoring quite loudly. 6 years old already. Although, having so many older siblings makes you seem much older. You have a quick, witty sense of humor and know how to keep up with the big kids. You currently enjoy playing WWF wrestling on the Xbox (followed by real wrestling with your friends), playing with little Sam every day, playing on a soccer team, and playing baseball for much longer than anyone else is willing to throw a ball. (It would seem that it took 6 tries, but dad finally got himself an athlete (: ) Today mom is taking you to pick out your birthday present (a brand new bike to replace the one you insist is much too small). Happy 6th birthday, Bubby! owen-01P.S. Day 2 of my handlettering project is for sale in 5 different colors (: Today is the real first day of summer for us and with all the fun/exciting/new/challenging/awesome plans I have, life really is just peachy right now.

we partied

Today was little Owen's 4th birthday. (Big Owen's birthday is on Friday, but he'll be a tad older than 4) He had a party complete with pool noodle light sabers, Angry Birds water balloon targets, A slip-n-slide, and a donut cake. He is one funny dude. And sassy. There will need to be many Provo visits come fall.

Hello 18.

I've technically been an adult in the wizarding world for a year, but now I'm official in the muggle world too. I had a very "big bang" 18th birthday. I ditched all two classes of school today (gotta love home release) and went to lunch with my mom and dad at The Cheesecake Factory. It was lovely. We got to sit outside. The new City Creek mall really is amazing. I thought the menu said "Big Bang Chicken," but it actually said "Bang Bang Chicken." Just being at the Cheesecake Factory made it a Big Bang Theory day because Penny is a waitress there. Then I got a tiara.

We headed up to Park City to shop before going to Pizza Factory (kind of a factory day I guess) for dinner with everyone.

Best of all, this girl rented season 4 of The Big Bang Theory. Happy Birthday to me.

Oh and I have this friend. Her name is Hannah. She rocks. She made me a Pinterest cake. Could there be anything more appropriate? The fondant recipe was even the same one we found on Pinterest during our AP Research days together.
